Sophia Podryhula-Shaw   

Sophia was born in the Ukraine, raised in Sydney, Australia and has lived in Edmonton since 1976. She was trained as a nurse and gained her Certificate - General in Obstetrics and Tresillian.

While pursuing a career in Nursing, she attended the Sydney Technical College, in Australia, and studied Composition and Design. Her other art related studies were conducted at the Edmonton Art Gallery, Grant MacEwan Community College, and at the Alberta Culture Art Series in Red Deer. She has won several awards and her work hangs in several public collections throughout the world.
