Igor Postash
(Igor's prints can be seen on his Reproductions page.)
"If an artist does not put his soul into a painting, the work is dead, or in better cases, the artwork becomes just a decorative spot. Every image is alive to be talked to, to give advice, to be trusted, to tell your secrets and desires, and to hear theirs. Paintings need the spirit of the artist." So says Igor Postash.
Igor Postash graduated from the Department of Geography at Kiev University with a degree in Geomorphy. He worked at a research institute in Kiev. The Chernobyl Nuclear catastrophe turned his life upside down. After this time of personal turmoil Igor began to exercise his talent as an artist.
In 1995, Igor immigrated to Canada and now lives in Edmonton with his wife and daughter.
Igor's whimsical paintings bring a sense of humour and are a sign of hope to a sometimes-darkened world.
