Al Henderson
Al Henderson works exclusively through the human figure and his sculptures range from handheld pieces to public monuments.
"Until recently my work has been small, typically under 40 inches tall. Most often, pieces are a single standing figure. These figures seldom show any particular action or person. Some of the pieces don't pretend to be anything other than a figurine, containing offscale found objects.
"Recently two trends have developed—the first being an increase in scale, made possible by several public commissions and the second has been a trend towards interactivity."
