Helen Rogers Sculptures

I was born in Athabasca, Alberta, spent most of my early years in Edmonton, and presently reside in St. Albert. After obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree and a Master’s Diploma in Counselling Psychology, I was a Junior High school counsellor and taught Junior and Senior High school Art and Social Studies with the Edmonton Public School Board until my retirement.

Art has always been a part of my life. I have constantly played with materials and enrolled in workshops and courses throughout my life, becoming self-taught in many areas. Since retiring from teaching in 2001, I have had more time to devote to my art and have concentrated mainly on sculpture, specializing in mosaics. I am a member of the Sculptors’Association of Alberta and the Society of American Mosaic Artists.
